Walking through the woods near my cabin, I picked up some beautiful pine cones. It took a while for inspiration to hit, but I think the wait was worth it! Each petal in this piece is made of a pine cone needle, painted various shades of pink to create dimension.
OVERVIEW
- This unique wood wall art is partially made from upcycled materials. I individually cut, stain and seal each part of this design and then assemble it within a sturdy frame to create a beautiful wood mosaic.
- My favorite part of working with wood is the wood itself! I take great care to preserve the natural grain of the wood within each piece.
- This artwork is partially made from upcycled wood which I salvage from all over, rip apart, sand, and cut to shape. Each board has its own tapestry of interesting knots, gouges and nail holes to add to the overall character of the piece!
